It’s a modern victorian farmhouse with warm earth-tone stone walls adorned with copper finishings and polished concrete floors, with rustic wood-beamed ceilings. Gaze upon the Victorian landscape with the Peninsula coastline glistening in the horizon as you are reacquainted with nature and wildlife.

Allawah Stay draws its inspiration from the untouched beauty of its surroundings. From its lush, naturally contoured landscapes and vast green spaces, each element has all been carefully considered within the design ethos.

The Architect’s vision is designed around a place to centre yourself, take time to draw in your surroundings and promote a strong connection to the outdoors. Beyond the quiet country road, through the thick pine woodlands, our guests are able to curate their own lifestyles and establish their own emotional connection with the surroundings.

Upon arrival, the house remains fairly hidden, the natural contours of the land make way as the roof is revealed. A large horizontal garden with flowing, manicured gravel are complimented with indigenous seaside grasses and large rectangular penetrations of the naturally lit courtyards imbue the space with the tranquility of Japanese garden.

Beyond the grove of fruit trees, the houses’ true form stunningly materialises. Designed to bring experiences together, two wings were composed; one view intentionally facing the sea and other positioned along the grassy slope. A steady transition down the ramp inspires the guest to slow down and take in their surroundings.

Allawah’s materials are designed with quality, comfort and sustainability in mind, with finishes in earthy tones to transmit a sense of connection with the outside landscape, inside.

The concentrated use of glass and sliding doors allow Allawah to open dialogue with its surrounding space.
